Roberts Park - Parkrun
Start of the Roberts Park parkrun this morning. It's a weekly organised event run by volunteers over a five kilometre course around Roberts Park and alongside the river Aire at Saltaire. It was cold this morning but organisers were expecting around six hundred runners to take part.

Pauline, On The Leeds-Liverpool Canal
Not the usual vessel on the Leeds Liverpool canal these days, it's a much wider boat (and much older). The owner had a very brief chat with me and told me that the boat was one hundred and fifty seven years old, it was built for a canal the width of the Leeds/Liverpool, it would have been horse drawn on the canal and was originally built with a fold down mast and sail enabling its use on rivers. It was built in the same year as the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark and is pictured here at Dobson Locks, Apperley Bridge heading towards Leeds.

Alhambra Theatre and Morley Street
Alhambra Theatre and Morley Street. The pedestrian crossing in the foreground is for both pedestrians and cyclists. I'm not really a fan of mixing the two together, it seems safe enough when it's a quiet time of day but think it may be hazardous when things are busier.

Kumi Choi at Bradford Cathedral
An organ recital by Swiss based South Korean born artist Kumi Choi at Bradford Cathedral today. The young (born 1990, young compared to me) and highly acclaimed organist played pieces by JS Bach, Pierne, Karg-Elert and Saint Saens. I'm no expert on the Church organ but it was certainly an impressive performance to my ears.

Bridge Street From Sunbridge Road
Looking towards Bridge Street from Sunbridge Road. The large stone built building in the distance on the left is the Victoria Hotel, you are actually looking at the back of the hotel, it was built facing the long gone Exchange station which was at the opposite side.

New Mural, Broadway Shopping Centre
This is a colourful new mural on the Hall Ings side of the Broadway Shopping Centre, well I'm saying it's new, it's been there a few months now.
