Save Our Fields - Cote Farm
Local residents with the support of Bradford East MP David Ward took part in a protest walk on Saturday to try and save an area of green fields located between Thackley and Windhill. A planning application to build 330 houses on the 30 acre site has recently been submitted to Bradford Council. Protest Against Shia Killings
A demonstration was held in the centre of Bradford last Monday to draw attention to the killing of members of the Shia Community in Pakistan. Around a hundred protesters gathered outside of the Pakistani Consulate, some of them from the area in Pakistan where a recent targeted bombing took place, a bombing which claimed the lives of many Shia Muslims. The demonstration was peaceful but the protesters were angry at the failure of the Pakistani authorities to protect the ordinary citizens of Pakistan.

Peaceful Protest
A peaceful protest against an American made 'anti-Islam' film was held today in Centenary Square. Speeches were made by Muslim community leaders from Bradford and Keighley (and by representatives of the Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara) condemning the film but urging peace and restraint. There was a large crowd present but not a hint of trouble, just speeches and prayers, amen.
