A twenty nine metre diameter floral carpet made from 300,000 dahlia heads has appeared in Centenary Square. The temporary artwork has been designed by local artist Shiraaz Ali and is a collaboration with Tapis de Fleurs de Bruxelles and has also been constructed with the help of local volunteers. It will apparently be illuminated on evenings with a sound and light show.
