Edge of Buck Woods

On the edge of Buck Woods, Thackley. I'm staying out of the town centre at the moment as it's a mass of roadworks and pedestrianisation work.  I'll put some pictures on here when the work has been completed.

Bradford Cathedral

This side of the Cathedral is usually in shadow, it's North facing, I don't think I have a picture at all with any sunlight on it.  Taken at the weekend when we had a couple of sunny days.

EDL Protest

The English Defence League were considerably outnumbered by police officers when they visited Bradford yesterday afternoon.  Members of the public were kept well away from the hour long gathering which took place next to the town hall.  Officers had been drafted in from other police forces including Manchester, so all-in-all it was a rather expensive non-event.

Etienne Jaumet - Musicien Electronique

French electronic musician and composer Etienne Jaumet made a visit to the Fuse Gallery and Art Space in Bradford last week.  Etienne differs from most electronic musicians these days as he uses classic anoalogue keyboards (and a saxaphone) in his compositions.  I tend not to comment on actual performances as I am fairly new to this type of music, but I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance.

Suddenly Human - Factory Stret Studios

German band Suddenly Human performing at Factory St. Studios in Bradford.  The band are currently appearing at venues up and down the UK before heading back to Europe for performances in Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt.  The band describe themselves as 'alternative, new wave & post punk'.  I ought to mention also that local band Francis put in an impressive performance on the same evening which made the jointly hosted event (Yorkshire Gig Guide, Kulchad Live and Factory St.) a memorable one indeed.

Kyoka - Fuse Gallery & Art Space

Japanese electronic musician and composer Kyoka visited the Fuse Gallery & Art Space last night.  Kyoka performs regularly on the electronic music scene in Japan and Germany so it was a rather special treat to be able to hear one of her performances here in Bradford.
